"I bought a pool table 20+ years ago from Pool City that had been sitting in a stack for 12yrs since we moved. We just finished our basement and of course we had to replace the pockets, and needed the table refelted and reassembled. Mark at corporate was unbelievable - he took the time to gather my old contact information - address, landline, maiden name, etc. until he was able to locate my original purchase...to assist in offering me replacement pockets comparable to what was originally on the table! He then ordered the pockets for me and facilitated the reassembly once I ordered my new felt (from the Cranberry store). During assembly the guys informed me my bumpers were hard and really needed replaced. I followed this up with Mark (he asked me about their condition when ordering my pockets and I was unaware.) who then looked into warranty coverage...after 20 years! They were covered and, although he knows it will be a few months before I have them replaced, he wanted to have them ordered and available. I cannot say enough about how positive my customer service has been - thank you, Mark!!"

"I bought a hot tub from the Monroeville store and had an excellent experience there. No problems at all. My hot tub is four months old and the main circuit board blew in the tub. I called for service at the main office in Pittsburgh and that turned into a nightmare. It has been almost 4 weeks and my hot tub is still not fixed. It takes forever to get the parts shipped. You would think they would do quicker shipping. And I think they only have one guy that does the repairs. So may be they need to get a second person. There are reports on the BBB site about how bad there service is. So may be Pool City would do something to improve their service?? All I want is my hot tub fixed!!!!!"

We have had a completely positive experience during every step of the spa-buying process, from the time we walked through the door, to the time our beautiful spa was placed on our deck, and even afterward with two calls from our salesman (Scott) checking to see how our delivery went and checking to see how our installation went. Before going to Pool City, we had gone to another hot tub sales company in Monroeville and had a very bad experience. When we walked in, they barely looked our way, and we were the only customers in the store. Needless to say, we glanced around, then turned and walked out the door. We then drove to Pool City. Without knowing, we had gotten there shortly before closing time. Scott greeted us at the door, and spent about an hour educating us on hot tubs, and never hinted to us that it was actually time for him to go home. He gladly discussed all of their spas, manufacturers, sizes, costs, options, etc, and patiently answered all of our questions. He made suggestions and recommendations, but never pressured us in any way to purchase something more expensive than what we were looking for. I thought that dealing with a larger store would be more difficult to find a âdeal.â I was totally dead wrong! Walked in to Pool City and Autumn happily walked me through Everything!! This girl is wonderful/ she knows her stuff and explains everything in simplistic terms as to how to use the chemicals. After looking at Hot Springs again, we traveled to Pool City in Washington PA and was helped by Ken Tkach. "I just purchased a home in Monroeville 2 years ago with my beautiful fiance, Kelsey, and since then, I've been doing my best to find some hobbies that we both enjoy, with not much success. Time restraints, schedules, and all kinds of stuff would always get in the way, so I started playing pool every week with my friend Carl. I drove about 20 minutes each way to meet him, but it was awesome! We would have our weekly "guy time", sharing cigars, drinks, and playing 10-15 games of pool a night. I grew to love playing the game! Then the thoughts started in my mind... we don't have the room in our house for our own table. But then Kelsey showed up, and said that the Brunswick site stated that we would be close with our basement dimensions. I decided to window shop at Pool City in Monroeville, and I met a sales person named John Vigne. Throughout the process, I ended up becoming confident, that with the option of using smaller cues (for specific shots), that we could make our space work. After about 30 minutes, we chose the Allenton table from Brunswick, and then we took about 3 hours to choose a color for the upgraded surface cloth. It was a blessing having Kelsey with me to help me pick a nice table that would go well in our basement, but us debating over what color top to go with took WAYY longer than I anticipated (our own fault)! I apologized to John many times at how long it was taking, but he never showed signs of bordome or inpatience. He even had a creative idea to help us choose, by inviting his other coworkers over to help us decide. I was very appreacive of John's help in helping me decide what table was best for me. He never pressured me to overspend, however, he did present options for me based on value. The table was installed yesterday, (only about a week turn around) and now we have a beautiful table that John helped us make happen! Thanks, John! "

I was having problems with water quality all summer, finally determined in early September that something had to be wrong in the filter. I went into the store excepting grief and frustration.. Boy was I surprised when Matt Said right off the top "just bring it back in for a full refund". Because it was so late in the year the proper size DE filter I needed was not available, but he did his best to track one down Water was crystal clear the next day. ""Saving the best for last?" I think so! After a couple days of pool shopping and receiving pricing from other pool companies, we found ourselves at Pool City. We were greeted by the manager, Adam who was very personable and informative. He was extremely patient while we went back and forth over different styles, sizes and options. Why did we go with Pool City when their price was not the least expensive? We went with Pool City, because of our confidence in Adam and how great his was at explaining exactly what we were getting. "Thanks for all of your help Ken! We went into the Washington PA store while shopping for a spa ( which we knew virtually nothing about). We were pleasantly surprised at how helpful and knowledgeable Ken was while helping us choose our new jacuzzi spa. We visited several other stores before stopping here and I have to say, the other places were a complete waste of our time. The other folks seemed like they had no personal experience or knowledge about the items that they sold. Not the case with Ken!!! "I went to a few smaller places in the area that sell hot tubs and I was unimpressed with the level of knowledge. The smaller places don't have the variety that the Pool City locations have. I was looking for a certain size and type of spa. I went to the West Mifflin location and Mark Davis was very knowledgeable about the Sundance product line. After my spa was delivered and hooked up I had some issues with maintaining the water in my spa and Mark was very helpful and set me up with everything that i needed. "Best place to buy a hot tub. I visited two other stores but the level of service I received at Pool City was by far the best. My salesperson, Chaim, took the time to answer all of my questions and told me many things I didn't even know to ask about, His knowledge of the various hot tubs was far better than anyone else I spoke to. After I took delivery, Chaim took the time to go over the maintenance schedule. This is my first hot tub and I had a lot of "rookie" questions but Chaim ansewered all of them with patience and gave me a great education. "I have dealt with Pool City in West Mifflin numerous times over the years. My bigger purchases have been two above ground pools and most recently a garden pavilion. As with any retail establishment, different sales people have different strengths and levels of knowledge and sometimes things go wrong. So bring it forward in a considerate tone and people are happy to help. I have always been provided with options as related to financing or discounts for package purchases. Both pool installations occurred as/when promised by considerate and competent installers. The only reason I gave 4 stars (instead of 5) is that when shopping for furnishings I would like to have more price-range options. (The price options for pools are wide ranging and can fit into many budgets.) Furniture can be quite pricey and it would be nice if there were some options that were more affordable. But if I want cheap there are other stores for that. Good overall experience over 15 years. "
